The SARAL blog is written for people who buy, specify or work hardwood: furniture makers, joiners, architects and purchasers. These are the rules every article follows.
Primary sources first
Every number in an article is traced to a source we cite: research publications such as the USDA Forest Products Laboratory’s Wood Handbook, peer-reviewed papers, European and national statistics (Eurostat, FAOSTAT, Romania’s national forest inventory), the official texts of EU regulations on EUR-Lex, and the open scopes of European standards. Where we only had a secondary source, or calculated a figure ourselves, the article says so.
Our own practice, stated as such
Where an article describes how we work at SARAL, it says so explicitly, and it only states what we actually do in our factory in Bălțați. We do not present test results, certifications or capabilities we cannot document.
Technical review
Each article is reviewed by one of our specialists before publication, and the reviewer is named at the end of the article: Gabriel Colceriu (Technical Director), Sergiu Grădinariu (Production Manager) or Ionel Rotaru (Procurement & Supplier Specialist).
Tools
We use modern research and writing tools to search sources, compare data and prepare drafts in several languages. The responsibility for what is published stays with us: figures are checked against their sources and the content is reviewed by our team.
Updates and corrections
Regulations, standards and markets change. Each article shows the date it was last updated. If you find an error or an outdated figure, write to us at info@saral.ro and we will correct it.
